Dell Precision M4800 · Intel Core i7 (4th Gen) · 15.6" Full HD · 16 GB / 512 GB SSD

Business laptops are built to last far longer than consumer ones — and this Dell Precision M4800 is a good example. The Precision 7000 series is Dell's heavy-duty mobile workstation — the laptop engineering, VFX and design firms buy when a normal laptop won't cut it. It's big, it's powerful and it's built to run flat out for hours. The M4800 is an older 15.6-inch workstation with a Full HD screen — a low-cost way into CAD and engineering software for students.

The Core i7 gives you extra headroom for heavier work: big spreadsheets, coding with several tools open, and light photo or video editing. This 4th-generation chip is older, but paired with an SSD it still handles documents, browsing, email and video calls comfortably. 16 GB of RAM gives you room for plenty of browser tabs, an IDE, Teams and Excel all at once. The 512 GB SSD means it boots in seconds and apps open quickly. The 15.6-inch Full HD screen gives you sharp text and room for two windows side by side.
