About Whynew

Most people don't need a brand-new laptop. They need a good one — something that starts quickly, types well, lasts for years and doesn't cost a month's salary.

That's why Whynew exists. We take business-grade laptops, desktops and Macs that companies have retired, test them properly, fix what needs fixing, and sell them with a warranty and a straight answer to every question.

Why business laptops?

ThinkPads, Latitudes and EliteBooks were built for years of eight-hour days in offices. When a company replaces them on schedule, most still have plenty of life left. For the price of a new budget laptop, you can own one that originally cost two or three times as much — and is better made.

How we work

• We test before we list. Every device goes through our quality checklist.
• We grade honestly. If there's a scratch, the grade says so.
• We stand behind it. 12 months' warranty on Windows devices, 6 months on Apple, and 7 days to return.
• We make paying easy. Pay online, or pay on delivery.
• We pick up the phone. Call or WhatsApp us before you buy, while you use it, and if anything goes wrong.

Every laptop that gets a second life is one less piece of e-waste and one less new machine to manufacture. We think that's worth doing well.
