About this device
Our take: Buy it if you want something reliable for students and small businesses and don't want to overpay for new.
Here's a Dell Latitude 5000 that has already proven itself in a corporate fleet, now tested and ready for its second life with you. The Latitude 5000 series is Dell's mainstream business laptop — the reliable middle of the range that most companies roll out to their staff. It balances build quality, ports and price very well. The 5480 is one of the most common business laptops in India, which also means spares and support are easy to find for years.
The Core i7 gives you extra headroom for heavier work: big spreadsheets, coding with several tools open, and light photo or video editing. Sixth-generation Intel brought faster DDR4 memory support, and with an SSD this machine feels quick for everyday work and multitasking. 8 GB of RAM is comfortable for everyday multitasking — browser, Office, music and a video call. A 256 GB SSD keeps everything snappy — no waiting around for the hard drive. The 14-inch HD screen is fine for documents, browsing and video.
Build and everyday use
Sturdy 14-inch body around 1.5–1.7 kg, with a full set of ports including HDMI and USB-A. Comfortable keyboard with good travel; many units are backlit. It comes with genuine Windows 11 Pro installed and activated.
Upgrades
Most 5000-series models have two RAM slots and a standard M.2 SSD, so they're easy to upgrade.
