About this device
Our take: Buy it if you want something reliable for video editing and engineers and don't want to overpay for new.
Here's a MacBook Pro 15/16-inch (Intel) that has already proven itself in a corporate fleet, now tested and ready for its second life with you. The 15- and 16-inch Intel MacBook Pros were Apple's top-end laptops for creative professionals: big Retina screens, quad- to eight-core processors and dedicated AMD graphics. The A2141 is the 16-inch Intel MacBook Pro — the biggest screen and the best keyboard of Apple's Intel era.
The Core i7 gives you extra headroom for heavier work: big spreadsheets, coding with several tools open, and light photo or video editing. 16 GB of RAM gives you room for plenty of browser tabs, an IDE, Teams and Excel all at once. A 512 GB SSD keeps everything snappy — no waiting around for the hard drive. The 16-inch Retina display is sharp and colour-accurate, which makes text crisp and photos look great.
Build and everyday use
Large aluminium unibody, around 1.8–2 kg. Big, colour-accurate Retina display and a very large trackpad. Most have the Touch Bar. It comes with a clean install of macOS, ready for you to sign in with your own Apple ID.
Upgrades
RAM and SSD are soldered. These run warm under heavy load — that's normal for this generation.
